She gave me the book last year and it is only now I have begun reading it.
If not for the things I learned and unlearned in that book, I should have read it on the spot.
The author discusses everything about the modern woman and her struggles with her spiritual life, relationships and the world.
It’s a wonderful gift to be a woman. This is what the Lord wants every female to think and He wants every female to celebrate being one!
However women, in general, don’t realize this.
Women today are either plagued by anger, envy, insecurity, depression, bitterness, or hopelessness. Women today are constantly dissatisfied with their looks, weight, status, income, (you name it, we always have one under our belt). Women compare and desperately try to keep up with the joneses.
No wonder more and more women prefer having sons than daughters. The future circumstances are easier.
I could just go on and on about the wonderful qualities of being a woman but one thing that strikes me the most is that women are emotional creatures. And believe you me, this is strength.
Because of our emotionality, we are: a little bit more resilient, a little bit more expressive, a little bit more giving and a little bit more loving.
But how can we think better of ourselves when we let our environment (intimate relationships, the media, experiences, background, etc.) hold control of us?
Before you flip open that beauty magazine, or take someone else’s opinion as law, think.
What is this (object, person, etc.) telling me (to feel, etc.) about myself?
Is it true? Is it right? Is it excellent or praiseworthy?
Ladies, appearances can be deceiving. Don’t let the enemy make you believe you’re not enough
