We live in a noisy world. It simply cannot stop talking, and most of the time, it can’t stop talking about itself. The world can’t contain its mouth and the things that defile it.

Everyone has an opinion. Everyone seems to be an expert on something. Everyone has something to say (no matter how incessantly dumb it may be, to the world, it has to be said). The ego is bursting from the seams.

To those that have mastered the art of effective listening, congratulations! You are two to three steps ahead of the competition. I say, let the world talk its guts and insides away. For those who know how to listen are richer by the millisecond. With a world that yaks and yaks about itself, it is not surprising that the effective listeners produce, create and achieve more.
