New Year’s Eve on the roof

A few minutes before the clock struck January 1st 2019, with my camera on hand, I stood on the roof top of our building taking pictures of all the magnificent fireworks. Aside from being uncomfortably chilly outside, I feared I met get hit by one of the frenzied sparklers that were let loose. My armor? A grandma sweater and a baseball cap.

If I get hit, then I can always shout for help, right?

Kidding aside, the risk was well worth it. I got a front row seat of the momentous occasion. Even for just a few minutes that night, I reckoned, man was able to paint the midnight sky with all the hues available to him.

I made a pre-selection of all the photos I took that night. It can be viewed in the video below.

How about you? How did you welcome the New Year?

Celebrating the Chinese New Year in the Philippines

Once again, I am out and about in the lovely metro.

Below are some of the food adventures I’ve been up to lately, while welcoming the Year of the Snake with a good friend.

Since it was the Chinese New Year, I wanted to celebrate by having Italian for lunch and cake for dinner. Go figure, haha.  😉

Called Pazzo Rollio, I had mine in Quattro Formaggi (4 Cheeses).

While waiting for dinner, here at a restaurant called Mary Grace for some down time. Ambiance, music, food. Lovely.

Dinner won't be complete without my date for the evening. Here with one of my good friends, Trish.

Lightbearer Chronicles: Prayer and Fasting Week (Day 3)

Fasting & Prayer
Fasting & Prayer

You prove your worth with your actions, not with your mouth

How timely for this quote. If you noticed, I don’t have Day 2. This is because I have failed Him miserably. Another day, another chance.

I am on Day 3 and the Lord has not given up on me yet.
